A dream becomes reality.

After years of practicing law and teaching, Tony and I decided to shake things up and embrace a new adventure: buying a vineyard in the beautiful land of Chile.

It all started with our shared love for wine. Tony, with his knack for unraveling complex cases, found solace in the intricate flavors of a well-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon. On the other hand, I, after years of enlightening young minds in the classroom, discovered a newfound appreciation for the artistry behind every sip of a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Our love for the vistas of vineyards and the welcoming weather where grapes flourish, along with the art and gastronomy that coincides with wine culture, cemented our dream of relishing vineyard life.

Our journey to owning a vineyard in Chile was not just a spur-of-the-moment decision, but rather the culmination of years spent dreaming, planning, and savoring every drop of experience along the way. We felt primed for the world of winemaking and eager to trade briefcases and chalkboards for grapevines and barrels. So I began a formal study of viticulture and winemaking at Texas Tech University, knowing the education was essential to our future success. Our search took us years and to innumerable vineyards in various locations—Italy, France, California, Argentina—until eventually we claimed our spot in Chile.

As we walk through the rows of our vineyard, we can't help but marvel at how far we've come. From the courtrooms and classrooms to the sun-kissed terraces of our very own vineyard, our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. And so we raise a toast to the colorful sunsets of Chile—knowing that we've found our paradise amidst the vines.

Here's to Viña Invictus—where dreams ferment into reality, one sip at a time. 🥂
